    The Associated Students Senate approved the Election Handbook Wednesday, lifting the temporary injunction issued by the AS Judiciary last week that had halted the ASI elections.

    Cal State Long Beach President F. King Alexander spoke about leadership to the CSULB Law Society, commending them for choosing to pursue a law degree and offering help to students with such aspirations.

  • Fair provides seniors with information
    Seniors gathered Tuesday to attend the first day of the Graduation 2006 Information Fair, running 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and noon to 7 p.m. Thursday in the USU Ballrooms.

  • Journalism student ends reign as beauty queen
    Spending time at the beach, reading books, having a glass of wine with friends between Seal Beach and Newport, or driving around town listening to Jack Johnson or Bargain Music, a local friend’s band, may sound like a typical Cal State Long Beach girl’s life.

    The second in a series of poetry open mic nights, known as Poets Lounge, combined elements of jazz, painting and rap, entertaining an enthusiastic crowd at the University Student Union Thursday.

  • Women’s tennis streak continues
    Winning its 14th consecutive match with a record of 14-2, the Long Beach State women’s tennis team earned a No. 18 ranking that is the highest in school history.


  • 49er women’s water polo struggles at home
    Grey clouds rolled in Saturday afternoon over The Beach pool for the season opener of women’s water polo, which resulted in the No. 12-ranked 49ers falling to the No. 11-ranked UC Irvine Anteaters.
