  • New energy plan can use student help
    As the technology era progresses, scientists continue to come up with more creative ways to use science and technology to generate more energy sources which, according to President George W. Bush, will be the answer to solving the United States long-term energy crisis.



  • Senate hosts Puvungna forum, motions against hate speech
    The fate of the Puvungna burial grounds was again at the forefront of the Associated Students Inc. Senate meeting, with half a dozen people voicing opposition to developing on the grounds.



  • New bill to help support California students
    The Campaign for College Opportunity [CCO] introduced a new bill Wednesday, paving the way for what it considers a strong approach to improve student access to California’s community colleges and universities.


  • Port of Long Beach voted best in the west
    The city of Long Beach has gained a lot recognition since its incorporation Feb. 10, 1888. Now, more than a century later it can add another accomplishment to its list.

  • Lewis sprints into 2006 season
    Setting school records and having fun at the same time is Charles Lewis’ style as part of the track and field team at Long Beach State. He set a school record in the 60 meter (6.90) and tied the school record in the 200 meter (21.47) at the Northern Arizona Quadrangular last weekend.
