Student Health Services (SHS), on the corner of Beach Street and Merriam Way,
provides medical services, preventive health and health education programs for
registered students and faculty members.
CSULB has health programs and events all semester long. For example, in
fall 2005, flu and meningitis vaccinations clinic were offered.
SHS also offers an Alcoholics Anonymous program, nutrition counseling and HIV.
For those who need immunization shots, SHS has set up a specific hotline for
that purpose. To set up an appointment call (562) 985-5411. There is also more
information about immunization at www.csulb.edu/divisions/students2/shs/immunizations.htm.

appointment hours, the clinic is open Monday,
Tuesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
and Friday from 8 a.m. to noon.
For the fast track clinic, which is for students who have an acute illness or
injury, the hours are Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday from 10 a.m.
to 7 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to noon. Students can make an appointment by
calling (562) 985-1638 there is also more information at www.csulb.edu/divisions/students2/shs/
Immunization clinic hours are Monday and Tuesday from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.
For students who need help with issues such as abuse of alcohol, tobacco and
