  • Professor taught with animation
    Edwin Roberts, political science professor and faculty adviser of the Political Science Student Association at Cal State Long Beach, died last week of a heart attack, leaving behind family, students and faculty who said they enjoyed his teaching abilities and passion for politics. He was 43.
  • CSULB's first faculty trustee steps up
    In July Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger appointed Cal State Long Beach film and electronics department chair and professor of communication studies Craig Smith as the new California State University faculty trustee. Smith is the first CSULB professor to be appointed to this position.
  • New site provides non-viral STD info
    Presutti Laboratories, a pharmaceutical company, created the first major Web site for Trichomoniasis, the most common non-viral sexually transmitted disease in the United States.
