  • Athletes shine during Special Olympics Southern California
    The Walter Pyramid rocked to the thunderous stomping of athletes and spectators in the stands as the Special Olympics torch, which began its journey at the U.S./Mexico border, appeared in the upper level of the darkened gym, being carried by law enforcement officials and athletes.
  • CSULB cheer team gives Japan pep
    The Cal State Long beach all-girls cheer team went to San Francisco Tuesday to start filming for a Japanese late night variety show called “One night R&R.”
  • Athletics director takes new position
    After serving 10 years as the Cal State Long Beach Athletics Director Bill Shumard is resigning from his position and accepting the job of chief executive officer of the Special Olympics Southern California (SOSC).
