• Jamie Pollock reinstated as Associated Students president after Judiciary's ruling
  After two hearings and a recount, Jamie Pollock has been officially reinstated to the Associated Students presidency. In a ruling issued late Monday afternoon, the AS Judiciary significantly reduced the Elections Commission's previous findings, which disqualified her from the position.
  
• Former Black Panther promotes student activism
  Kwak B. Duren, former member of the Black Panther Party and current leader and co-founder of the new Panther Vangaurd Movement, spoke at Cal State Long Beach yesterday in hopes of inspiring higher student activism on social and political issues.

  The Cal State University Chancellor's Office recently conducted its fourth annual Evaluation of Teacher Preparation at California State Universities.

• Some instructors paying multiple union fees
  Part-time instructors working on California community college campuses are being charged more than once for union dues, or "fair share fees," paid to the California Federation of Teachers (CFT).
