  • ASI Senate passes multiple legislation, creates "Maxson Day"
    In an active session Wednesday, the Associated Students Senate approved multiple pieces of legislation. The new amendments will have far-reaching effects, ranging from worker’s compensation and information security to the current case against ASI President Jamie Pollock.


  • Signs to reduce pedestrian injuries
    The California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) funded $1.5 million to the city of Long Beach Oct. 1 in an effort to decrease the high rate of traffic accidents within the city.

  • Student survey says yes to recreation center
    The Senate Chamber brimmed at the doorways as students and Associated Students, Inc. members gathered Wednesday to hear the Brailsford and Dunlavey company present the results of the Recreation Needs Assessment survey conducted by students last month.

  • Embedded reports give take on Iraq coverage
    The Program Council, in collaboration with the journalism department, presented “Reporting on the War: What’s a Journalist To Do?” Wednesday afternoon to bring awareness to journalism.
