  • Our View: Halloween greatest holiday of the year

  • Bible usage incorrect
In the Oct. 25 edition of the Daily Forty-Niner, in the column titled “Bible not valid source for logical reasoning,” Sterling Harris uses arguments in his editorial on the Bible that were laced with typical, unoriginal and ill-thought through slogans.
  • Strippers deserve respect
Near the end of my freshman year, some friends and I decided it would be great fun to go to the SuicideGirls’ Burlesque show. And, other than the possibility of being caught on the Sunset Strip while the Los Angeles police were enforcing anti-cruising laws, it was exactly that — fun.

If you ask Long Beach State women’s volleyball Head Coach Brian Gimmillaro about getting a certain monkey off his back this past weekend, he will immediately dismiss the notion.
  • USC's record contenders, Leinart, Bush speak about Heisman
As the great Yogi Berra would say, its deja vu all over again, in the sense that USC is dominating the college football landscape as it did more than 30 years ago, thanks in part to the phenomenal play of Heisman Trophy winner Matt Leinart and speedster Reggie Bush.
