  • AS Judiciary meeting discusses Pollock’s request to pay Godina
    The Associated Students Judiciary met Monday to hear a complaint filed against Associated Students, Inc.
  • ROTC students train at Pendleton
    It didn’t really taste like coffee, it didn’t really smell like coffee, but, like coffee, the warm liquid caffeine woke everyone up just the same – and that was all anyone needed at 5 a.m. with a mile march ahead and a 30-pound rucksack on their back.
  • Plus/minus grading system effects weighed by committee
    In the ongoing discussion on the effects of a plus/minus grading system, presenters at the ad-hoc committee meeting Wednesday showed how the new system could cause more students to be put on academic probation, but that the system would also provide a better reflection of student academic performance.

Opinion

  • Our View: NBA should enforce appropriate dress code
    Individuality is expressed through what people wear, but self-expression is not confined to appearance. It is also shown through character and personality.
  • Bible not valid source for logical reasoning
    The Oct. 18 edition of the Daily Forty-Niner had a column titled “Artificial insemination is against God’s will,” by Ashley Thomas. Thomas, who holds the Bible in high regard, judged the personal decisions of couples who are unable to have children naturally.
  • Global warming dilemma, demands attention
    Let’s assume for the moment global warming is a theory based on shaky scientific evidence developed by scientists who want you to believe the sky is about to crash on your head and ruin that expensive hairstyle.
