KKJZ disc jockey dies

Obituary • KKJZ disc jockey Sam Fields was found dead Sept. 30 in his North Hollywood home. He was 55. Fields worked at the station, located on upper campus, since 1990, and at KKGO since 1972. He also worked at KROQ, KMET and KLAC, according to the Los Angeles Times. He is survived by two sisters, a brother, a niece and a nephew. Tracey Roman /Online Forty-Niner
