Traces of discrimination, sexism still present in society

I am so glad sexual discrimination is no longer a problem for women.

It doesn’t matter that women are the majority of victims of domestic abuse and rape, or that women’s bodies are being objectified in pop culture.

As a woman, I am relieved that there is only “trace sexism” in America. Who cares about unequal pay or the battle over a woman’s body in the debate on abortion? I certainly don’t because I love being a housewife. All I have to do is cook dinner, do the laundry and have sex with my husband every night.

I am so thankful the generations before me paved the way for my ultimate freedom to be who I want to be, except a lesbian, a minority, single or powerful. Oh well, no self-respecting woman wants to be those things anyway.

I don’t understand why feminists want to make these genderless words to describe people. It must be an insignificant issue to everyone. If it really doesn’t matter, then I think we should call members of the legislature all congresswomen.

Hey, it is “simply [a] word used to describe someone;” no harm done, right?
Wrong.
