The Enantitos Verdes (Little Green Dwarfs), have never been a disappointment
to watch. Last Thursday’s concert at the Vault 350 in Long Beach was not
an exception. The Argentinian pop/rock band knows how to put on a show.
After more than 26 years of performing, singer and basist Mariano Cantero, guitarist
Felipe Staiti, drummer Daniel Piccolo, guitarist Sergio Enmbroni and keyboardist
Tito Davila can still work a crowd, even when the show begins more than an hour
after the scheduled time.
In addition to the usual group of loyal followers, the band seems to be drawing
in the attention of a younger generation, who is attracted to this band’s
mix of authentic beats from their native Argentina, and their flair for classic
rock ‘n’ roll. The concert did not come short of expectations for
those who have been fans of this band.
However, the surprise of the night was the up-and-coming Spanish band, La Quinta
Estacion, the opening act for Enanitos Verdes, who have been touring Latin America,
Europe and the United States for the past months.
Even though the concert got off to a late start, it was a good time for those
who truly appreciate good music and a fun crowd.
