News

  • West Nile claims third victim in CA
Claiming its third victim in California and its first in the Los Angeles County; an 88-year-old Long Beach woman died after contracting the West Nile Virus.
  • Construction modernizes campus for the fall semester
Many people have noticed there is a lot of construction around the campus. The work is planned to be finished by the first day of fall instruction. There are 30 to 40 projects going on, all in different areas of the campus.

Opinion

  • Our View: 9/11 report does little to change views
On July 22, 2004 "The 9/11 Commission Report: Final Report of the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States" was published in bookstores across the nation. The book is selling like hotcakes but will the report make a difference in what people believe?
Diversions
  • When psychological, schizophrenic, paranoid films attack
In a time in Hollywood where the only kind of mystery/thriller is one with multiple twists and turns and is filled with inexplicable coincidences ("Out of Time" and "Taking Lives" most recently come to mind), "The Manchurian Candidate" offers a refreshing spin to keep us wondering instead of guessing.
