Re
"Israel's targeted killings are justified,"
Opinion, April 1: I want to say something
to Gerry Wachosky.
How
can he say that Israel's government wants
peace? Here are some data and facts that
show Israel is nothing but a bully that
claims it is the victim.
*In
the Gaza Strip there are about 1,266,000
Palestinians and only 5,000 Jewish settlers.
But guess what, Israel controls about 40
percent of the land while the rest is given
to the Palestinians.
*Here
is a quote from Gerry's article: "Some
countries have even denounced the killing."
The United States was the only country that
did not denounce the killing of Sheik Yassin.
Therest of the world denounced the killing.
*Sharon
is a war criminal and is wanted by the United
Nations for war crimes in Lebanon that he
committed in early 1980s.
*
There is nothing wrong with erecting a wall
to protect Israelis from suicide bombers.
But the wall should be built on Israel's
side, not in the middle of the Palestinians'
community.
I
don't understand how close minded Gerry
is. Has he seen the pictures of the building
of the wall? Has he seen the life of Palestinians
life changed drastically after the wall?
The
United Nations has condemned Israel for
building the wall. Even a close ally like
America doesn't support the building of
the wall.
