Student voters overwhelm poll site at CSULB

Voters • Sociology major Lorenzo Williams, above, is next to cast his vote after waiting approximately 45 minutes. The time only got longer as the day went on. Below, a higher number of students than expected turned out to vote on campus yesterday. The line remained long all day and reached as far as the street and started up the hill. News

  • Student voters overwhelm poll site at CSULB
The vote was rocked. Students voted yesterday at the first polling place at Cal State Long Beach in the school's history. The polls, staffed entirely by students, were packed during all open hours.

Opinion

  • Activists must prepare for new battles at home
Now that the presidential elections are over, the real work for activists must begin in earnest. Neither candidate represented the growing anti-war, anti-occupation of Iraq sentiment.

Diversions

  • 'San Andreas' may be the next best thing to sex
"Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas," Rockstar Games' newest open-ended crime opus, was released Oct. 26 amid some of the biggest hype ever created over a video game, and for good reason — it may be the best game ever made.
