  • Volunteers set for community service day
    Thousands of volunteers across the nation will join in a day of community service on Oct. 23. The event, known as Make A Difference Day, was created 14 years ago by USA Weekend Magazine, and is held each year on the fourth Saturday in October.
  • ASI president's proposal sparks debate
    The Cal State Long Beach ASI Senate convened for their 11th meeting of the semester yesterday to discuss, among other issues, the proposed bylaw amendment.

    The women's golf team tied for second place at the rain-shortened Azteck Fall Invitational, held at The Auld Course in Chula Vista.
  • Fans favor Crimes
    A disgruntled and offbeat Yale volleyball dad heckled all game long during the Sept. 11 match against Long Beach State in frustration of his team's play, and the object of his discontent was non other than 49ers' Alexis Crimes.
