  Movimiento Estudiantil de Teatro y Artes, or META, put on its third full-length production, "A Bicycle Country," which opened Friday in the Student Union.

• Legends from New York hit the Anaheim House of Blues
  Some 30 years ago, the New York Dolls were playing bars and clubs on the East Coast. At the time, they were considered just another band — they played high-energy rock ‘n' roll in a style similar to the Rolling Stones.

• Jimmy Eat World rocks the Riverside recreational center
  Last Thursday at 8 p.m., a beautiful thing happened: Jimmy Eat World performed with the Velvet Teen at the UC Riverside recreation center. With the new single already being played on KROQ, Jimmy was there to promote the upcoming release of their new album, "Futures," available Oct. 19.
