Graduation: Many look to gain
acceptance for Practical Training
in order to remain in the U.S.

Aleksandar Stanojevic, the most
outstanding graduate of the College
of Business Administration this
year, was part of a project that
examined post-Sept. 11 financial
issues in commercial aviation
this semester.

Amid working as public librarian
at the Torrance Public Library
the last four years, raising two
daughters and fulfilling the role
as a wife, Gail Van Vraken also
pursued a master’s of education
with an option in school library.

engineering major, did not originally
plan to attend Cal State Long
Beach.

activities throughout her college
years has not kept senior and
double major Amy Cucinella from
maintaining a 4.0 grade point
average.

College of Liberal Arts outstanding
graduate Lisa Pinley had a great
Valentine’s Day.

graduate - Larissa Balogh
She has co-authored many papers
for professional biology publications,
will begin a doctorate program
in the fall and plans to be a
pharmaceutical scientist, and
she is only 22.

a 97-mile per hour fastball to
strikeout Richie Burgos in the
bottom of the ninth inning Saturday
to give the Dirtbags its first
Big West title in six years.
