God does exist
In
response to Gerry Wachovsky’s article stating
that God does not exist, I boldly make the
statement, “I disagree.”
I also want to add that I agree with Wachovsky’s
statement that religion is a complete fallacy.
Religion is a complete fallacy and has been
shown to be because of one factor — mankind.
God didn’t screw up religion, we did.
God gave us the greatest, yet most dangerous
gift this world has ever known: freewill.
And because original man and woman had the
freewill to choose, they chose to free-willingly
be disobedient to their Creator (Genesis
3). So, all the fallacy in the church isn’t
God’s fault, it’s ours.
I will only point out one major reason,
for the sake of space, why God does exist
— computers. Inside of the tower that covers
your computer system, you’ll find a variety
of different things. These “things” range
from hard drives to memory chips and even
a power source to keep the computer alive.
And that’s just the surface. The computer
itself holds data and functions and all
of that other crazy stuff that I don’t have
the knowledge to explain.
Computers are very intricate and complex,
yet they weren’t discovered. Computers were
created by us.
Now take us. Inside the human body, you’ll
find a variety of “things” ranging from
a brain to muscles and even a heart that
allows blood flow to keep us alive. And,
like computers, that’s just the surface.
The human brain holds data and functions
and all of that other crazy stuff that I
don’t have the knowledge to explain, either.
Humans are very complex and intricately
designed, yet we weren’t just discovered.
We were created. And for something to be
created, a creator is needed.
Wachovsky stated, “Can’t we, as intelligent
adults, realize that there is no such thing
as a god?” I pose a similar question, can’t
we, as intelligent adults, realize that
the entire human race didn’t happen by accident?
As intricate and complex as we are, how
could we have been accidentally formed?
Again, I can go on with reasons why God
does exist, but because of space constraints,
I won’t. I leave you with a quote from someone
who was not only nailed to two pieces of
wood, but rose three days later to prove
His deity and the assurance of salvation
for those who free-willingly embrace it,
“Look! Here I stand at the door and knock.
If you hear me calling and open the door,
I will come in, and we will share a meal
as friends (Revelation 3:20).”
