The Academic Senate voted unanimously Thursday to postpone approving a course syllabus policy for all Cal State Long Beach professors and lecturers.

  • Women encouraged to join engineering
The College of Engineering at Cal State Long Beach along with the Society of Women Engineers and the engineering company, Conexant, brought "Women Engineers @ The Beach," an educational engineering conference, in an attempt to give a didactic glimpse of engineering to potential young women engineers and to increase the percentage of women in engineering academia and the industry Friday.

Opinion

  • Our View: Forgotten veterans
You would think that in a time of war, veterans would be the most honored, the men and women that our government has heralded as saving freedom, justice and the American way. Sorry Superman.

  • Lingering resentments
I don't know about you, but I am getting sick and tired of politicians and other prominent newsmakers making brash statements without thinking twice about what they are saying.

  • A nation suffering without God
We have all heard the commotion of the Pledge of Allegiance's phrase "one country under God" and the argument that we should change it to reflect our country today.
