  David McKay, a mathematics professor at Cal State Long Beach, urged the A.S. Senate last Wednesday to consider a textbook and syllabi review that he said he believes would make it easier for students to excel in their classes.

  The presidential election is coming soon to a theatre near you. As we wait for the fabulous next episode in our nation's democracy, we have a chance to reflect on the chances of us getting a halfway decent selection for the ballot.
