  • Our View: Ticketmaster rip-off
We all know how hard it can be to get halfway decent tickets to a concert you really want to see. Now a new hurdle has been added to our path.

  • Racial double standards
Just about every school across the nation has clubs that students create for the purpose of meeting similar people and relating to issues that they may have a mutual interest in.

  • Bush's big cover up
It is an ironic fact that the number of victims in the Sept. 11 World Trade Center bombing is close to the same number of Panamanian civilians human rights experts estimate were killed by American forces in our 1989 "arrest" of Manuel Noriega.

  • Women's volleyball off to slow start
At this point in time last year, the Long Beach State women's volleyball team was undefeated in 10 games. After splitting a two match road trip -- a loss against UC Riverside and a win against Cal State Fullerton -- this year's team is an average, for a program of its caliber, 6-3.

  • Badly beaten by Uconn, 49er win streak ends
The Long Beach State women's soccer team traveled to the East Coast last weekend where the only thing that could stop them was not Hurricane Isabelle, but the No. 7 ranked University of Connecticut (4-1-2).
