start season undefeated

Forty-Niner
It
did not take long for the women's volleyball
team to shake out the jitters of its first
match this season and just six days later
they find themselves 3-0.
Junior
Erika Chidester rose to the challenge and
posted 21 kills to lead the 15th ranked
49ers over Texas-Arlington, 30-26, 31-29,
30-17, on Friday at The Pyramid.
The
49ers kept the momentum going on Saturday
with an impressive 3-1 victory over the
22nd ranked Texas Longhorns (0-2). The scores
were 30-26, 26-30, 30-27, and 30-22. The
49ers then steam rolled over the Nevada
Wolf Pack in three straight sets, 30-28,
30-21, 30-20, on Monday afternoon at The
Pyramid.
The
Beach will now put their three-game win
streak on the line against the 24th ranked
Eastern Washington Eagles (0-3) on Thursday
night at The Pyramid.
The
Eagles dropped its first three games against
top ranked opponents, but were picked to
repeat as champions of the Big Sky Conference.
