Last Impression
Last Wednesday, thousands of new
freshmen flocked to campus with a new, refreshed
feeling of independence and maturity --
and then they saw
a Cal State Long Beach students mashed Arnold
with an egg. As students rush to school
with new cars, jobs and the title "University
Student", there is a type of responsibility
that is embedded with that--to act like
a respectable adult! I was only a few feet
away from the idiot who threw the egg and
I was so embarrassed!
Now
the entire city gets to see, and may I remind
you it was live, how ignorant one CSULB
student can be. I find the act repulsive,
as well as disrespectful, not only to
Mr. Schwarzenegger, who beyond all political
aspects is someone who is trying to fulfill
a goal that he has set out for himself just
like all CSULB students have. But also for
Mr. Maxson, who for the past few years has
tried to represent Cal State Long Beach
as a respectable university, but especially
to all of the students and staff at CSULB
who represent the school in all of its honor.
I
truly believe that whatever the political
ideals of any one person may be that does
not constitute for the disrespect of any
human being.
I
encourage the person who threw the egg to
come out and apologize for jeopardizing
the reputation of a great school with such
a stupid act. If Mr. Schwarzenegger happens
to read this -- I hope you win so you can
piss the hell out of the person who threw
the egg. We are not all the same -- CSULB
is a great school and one student can not
define us all.
