Our View: Students vote

The presidential election is coming soon to a theatre near you. As we wait for the fabulous next episode in our nation's democracy, we have a chance to reflect on the chances of us getting a halfway decent selection for the ballot.

Too often in elections you end up voting against a candidate than for one. All the candidates end up being such lops that there is no way you could possible really want one to win. Maybe now with a few halfway decent Democrats and a powerful Republican incumbent we can get some beliefs out there.

Too often, young people become the compromised faction, and it isn't justified considering how many of us there are. Once we realize that the issues debated on the floor of Congress and the people we put in office are directly connected with us, maybe students will make sure they pay attention in the next year and show up to the polls next year.
