Note: In the Oct. 21 issue of the On-line
Forty-Niner, a story was printed about the
African Student Union meeting regarding
a flyer posted by Sigma Phi Epsilon. The
issue-at-hand was an image of a naked African
American, covering his genitals with a hat,
written under which was the word "auction,"
in reference to an auction the fraternity
was holding to raise money for charity.
The fraternity has apologized, and the ASU
may press further charges. To read the archived
