FALL 2003 PARKING INFORMATION

The popularity of the campus is growing, and with it the need to park.  In an effort to maximize the amount of spaces for the campus community, we at Parking, Transportation and Event Services would like to offer a few solutions to your concerns for this semester.

  • Off-site parking will return to Veterans Stadium on September 2nd for the Fall 2003 semester.  This service is open to everyone on campus, not just students.  No permit is necessary to park at Veterans Stadium, but remember, one is required on our campus at all times.  If you have classes on Tuesday and Thursday, this option may be well suited to you.
  • The on campus Beach Cruiser stop is located at the East Campus Turnaround, near the SSPA building, just across from the Student Union.
  • Please use alternate modes of transportation such as:  Long Beach Transit, The Passport, bike, or carpool with friends and classmates.
  • Go against the grain.  Use Palo Verde Ave. to get to campus.  Lot 11 and Lot 12 are the last lots to fill up. This will reduce traffic on Atherton and Merriam Way as well as Bellflower and State University Drive.

We are committed to providing you with as many options for your
parking concerns, in an on-going effort to explore other solutions to

better serve the campus community. If you have any questions please

call our office: 562-985-4146, Monday through Thursday from:

        7:00am to 6:00pm, and Friday from 7:00am to 5:00pm
