Just
in time for Christmas comes the ultimate
U2 fans stocking stuffer, "U2 Go
Home," a live DVD from the Irish
quartet's homeland at Slane Castle.
The
second of two concert DVD's from their
latest "Elevation" tour, "U2
Go Home," is the better because it
features Bono and the band in front of
their "tribe," which brings
out the very essence of the band--heart.
Not
that the heart and soul they displayed
all throughout America and on their previous
concert DVD from Boston was lacking, it
just wasn't as intense and genuine as
the heart they displayed in front of Slane
Castle.
"U2
Go Home," is the first ever release
to feature U2 playing to a home crowd
of 80,000 people in Ireland.
Notable
performances are "Out of Control,"
"Sunday Bloody Sunday," and
"Angel of Harlem."
"U2
Go Home," includes a bonus track,
DVD ROM and special features that include:
a U2 calendar, screensavers and web links
plus three songs shot on 'Spincam,' allowing
the viewer an interactive, 360 degree
view of the concert.
But
the coolest and most interesting feature
is the "Unforgettable Fire,"
a documentary which captures the band
recording their landmark fourth album
in Slane Castle in 1984.
