Officials
aim to ease festival parking
By Tanya Dellaca

Before enjoying
the music at the blues festival, guests first face successfully
navigating Cal State Long Beach’s numerous parking lots to
find that sacred perfect spot. Finding parking should be effortless
this year through a joint effort between CSULB’s Parking and
Transportation Services and the University Police.
“This year parking is very well orchestrated and with the
assistance of the campus police and signs clearly marking
the different areas, the lots won’t become so impacted,” said
Parking and Transportation Field Coordinator Sandra Johnson.
Johnson, parking organizer for the event for the last three
years reminds guests the metered parking will not be staffed
but will be monitored.
“If you are trying to avoid the six dollars [and don’t pay
the meter] you will be cited,” Johnson said. “The meters will
be enforced.”
Street parking is also available but most people carrying
chairs and other things do not want to walk the extra feet,
Johnson said.

and Transportation Services at (562) 985-8621.
