Tennis continues
to roll

The Long Beach
State women's tennis beat Cal State Fullerton, 6-1, Friday
at the 49er Courts and Cal State Northridge, 7-0, Wednesday
in Northridge to improve to 6-1 on the season and 3-0 in the
Big West Conference.
LBSU coach Jenny
Hilt said the 49ers, ranked 58th in the nation, have finished
the easier part of the season and will see some tougher competition
ahead, including a nonconference match Tuesday against Eastern
Michigan.
"We cruised through the matches we were supposed to cruise
through and now [play Eastern Michigan]. They're No. 75, so
it'll be a good match."
LBSU President Robert Maxson is a frequent spectator at the
49ers matches, including Friday's.
"I think the women tennis players are some of the best athletes
at Long Beach State."
