ties for 11th at Stanford

The Long Beach
State women's golf team finished in a tie for 11th and Heeyoung
Cho tied for 32nd in the Peg Barnard California Collegiate
at Stanford Golf Course in Stanford.
LBSU shot 322-317
-- 639 to finish tied with Oregon State. Washington won the
event by six strokes over second-place Cal, 593-599. USC finished
fourth at 600 and host Stanford fourth at 607.
Cho shot 82-74
-- 156 and Marie Louise Juul 79-79 -- 158 to finish tied for
40th. Other Beach finishers were Teal Thron (79-82 -- 161)
and Carla Legaspi (82-82 -- 162). Melanie Furuta shot an 82
in the first round but withdrew.
Mikaela Parmlid
of USC won the individual side at 73-70 -- 143, two shot better
than Kim Rowton of Stanford.
