Gifts to make CSULB graduates giddy

By Joe Licavoli
On-line Forty-Niner

As graduation quickly approaches at Cal State Long Beach, friends and family members scramble to find gifts for their special graduate; this guide will give some ideas of the best gifts for a college graduate.

One of the most traditional gifts is a bouquet of flowers. Flowers can bring a bright smile to a graduate's face but it may not leave a lasting impression.

If the graduate is going on a long trip after graduation, a piece of luggage would be a great gift. Luggage would be memorable and something the graduate could use for years to come.
In addition, if a graduate is visiting a foreign country, a travel book would be a helpful gift.

After the stress of school, another great gift idea would be a short vacation for the graduate. He or she can try his or her luck in Las Vegas or relax for a weekend in Catalina.

In giving gifts to relieve the stress of school, a gift certificate to spend a day at a spa would be great for the female graduates who want to pamper themselves after the fast-paced days of college life.

Another gift for college graduates is their favorite brand of alcohol, because after being in school for four or more years there is going to be some major partying to be done.

With many concerts over the summer, an excellent graduation gift for a graduate that is a fan of music is tickets to see their favorite band or artist. Along with that idea, tickets for their favorite team is a great gift idea.

If a friend is graduating a memorable gift would be to throw them a surprise graduation party with all of their friends. This would be a great opportunity for everyone to reflect on the past years and it's a great excuse for a party.

An unforgettable gift would be a collage of pictures showing memories that have been shared during the years in college. This is something that the graduate will be able to have and remember for years to come.

There are many excellent gifts and ideas for a college graduate but the best is something that shows how proud you are of them.
