  • Sound of ‘Stormy Weather’ makes sweet music
    A dazzling lineup of 10 ladies took the stage at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles to perform in “Stormy Weather 2002,” a benefit concert for the Walden Woods Project and the Thoreau Institute at Walden Pond Wednesday night.

  • Band to perform noon concert today
    Artists: Detour Posse, a reggae group, will be performing at noon today at the Southwest Terrace.

  • Women’s volleyball beats Anteaters twice
    The No. 10 Long Beach State women’s volleyball team went undefeated in its last six matches after beating the UC Irvine Anteaters in back-to-back matches this weekend to improve their record to 24-3 overall, 13-3 in the Big West Conference.

  • New coaching staff nets first win at LBSU
    Although it will not count in the standings, the Long Beach State men’s basketball team won its first game under the direction of its new coaching staff Wednesday night at The Pyramid.
