If you’re looking for new places to check out or want the chance to shop with the stars, then maybe you may be interested in walking around Hollywood and Highland, Universal City Walk, or The Grove at Farmer’s Market.

Hollywood and Highland is located at 6801 Hollywood Blvd., and offers over 30 stores and restaurants. The outdoor mall also features two clubs.

The Highlands nightclub is only open to those 21 and over and is open every Friday and Saturday night from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. Cover charges vary and upscale club attire is required.
Club One Seven is for teenagers under 21 and open Saturday evenings from 8:30pm to 1:30AM. There is a $20 cover charge and valid identification is required.

Shops include stores ranging from Banana Republic, bebe, Tommy Hilfiger, Hot Topic, Swatch and Oakley.

“The Hollywood and Highland is nice to walk around,” said Melody Velasco, an English major. “And if you get bored there, there are plenty of places near by that you can go to like the Mann’s Chinese Theater.”

If you’re looking for a sit-down meal, you can choose from a wide variety of food that ranges from California Pizza Kitchen, Koji’s Sushi and Shabu Shabu Restaurant to The Highland which features Wolfgang Puck-style dishes.

If you’re only in the mood for a snack, the outdoor mall also features Coldstone Creamery, Starbucks and Nestle’s Toll House Café.

Parking is $2 with validation and the hours are Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

November 26 through January 5, Universal City Walk will once again have an outdoor ice rink. Adults are $7.50, children are $6.50 and skate rentals are $2.50.

Food and entertainment at City Walk include B.B. King’s Blueclub, The Salsa Room, Hard Rock Café, Karl Strauss Brewery Garden, Wasabi at City Walk, as well as many other restaurants that provide both food, music and dancing.

The Grove at Farmer’s Market features 50 upscale shops, restaurants, as well as the Pacific movie theater. The open-air, modern mall features shops that include Banana Republic, FAO Schwartz, Abercrombie and Fitch, Crate and Barrel and The Gap.
