thefts in dorms raise security concern
With reports of several thefts of electronic equipment
over the last month, two of them taking place in the residence
halls at Cal State Long Beach, questions of security have
arisen.

The College of Health and Human Services at Cal State
Long Beach has established the Donald Lauda Wellness Lecture
Series. The lectures are expected to begin spring semester
2002.

paves way for undocumented
Assembly Bill 540 could make it possible for undocumented
California high school graduates to attend college.
- Community
college transfers may be in trouble
For decades, many students normally unable to afford four
years of higher education at a state university were able
to get degrees and launch careers via community college
instruction.
- Less-lethal
weapons could be more lethal
Long Beach resident Glenda Reymer was shot dead by Long
Beach Police in the city's first fatal incident resulting
from the use of less-lethal weapons last June.
