Crime Log

The following events were reported by University Police between Monday, Aug. 6 and Wednesday, August 15.

THEFT

A Dell computer, monitor, keyboard and mouse valued at $2,272 were taken from Peterson Hall of Science Building 3 between Tuesday, Aug. 7 and Tuesday, Aug. 14. Equipment was university property.

A car stereo valued at $300 was taken from a locked 1993 Acura Integra in the Parking Structure between 5:50 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 13.

A suspect smashed a window in the Applied Arts and Science Building and took a Compact laptop computer, Sony video camera, RCA video recorder and a Sears CD player with a total value of $4,970 between 4:55 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 9 and 6 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 12.

A red Huffy bicycle secured with a chain lock was taken from the racks by Student ID Services near the Bookstore at 4:42 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10.

An Apple I Mac and external disc drive valued at $989 was taken from Faculty Office Building 2, Room109 between 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 9 and 11:55 a.m. Aug. 13. The room was locked and there was no sign of forced entry.

A wallet containing $25 was taken from Room 111 A in the Fine Arts Building at 4:50 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 7. The wallet had been left unattended.

A notebook computer valued at $1,300 was taken from Room 110 of the East Library in the Faculty Staff Conference Center between 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 6. The unattended computer was inside of a locked room, although a door leading to shared kitchen was not.

INCIDENTS

A vehicle was impounded from South Campus Drive for outstanding DMV fees at 11:03 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 12.

A suspect was cited for vandalism on Atherton Street after an officer witnessed him reach out of a vehicle and attach a sticker to a stop sign at 12:24 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10.

A 30-year-old female suspect was detained on suspicion of DUI after being stopped on the 2100 block of Bellflower Boulevard at 2:29 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 4. She was later determined to have not been under the influence.
