Richardson recognized
by MPSF

Long Beach State
women's water polo player Ashley Richardson was recently named
honorable mention All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation.
The sophomore from San Diego was second in scoring this season
for The Beach with 50 goals. Richardson is also second all-time
in scoring at LBSU with 118 goals.
Richardson's offensive
prowess helped lead The Beach to a record of 16-4, its first
winning season in LBSU history.

player passes away

Former 49er football
player Bill Price, a member of LBSU's 1955 inaugural team,
passed away on April 28 in Yorba Linda, Calif. He was 70.
Price, listed as
a 5-10, 195 lbs. guard, was a part of the 5-2-0 team coached
under Mike DeLotto. He played just one season for the 49ers.
Price coached for
Magnolia High School and Cypress Junior College. He is survived
by his wife Dorthy, his son Brad, his daughter Jeannie, and
five grandchildren.
