hit .314 on the season with 24 runs scored and 27 RBIs. He
had a .396 on-base and .391 slugging percentage. In 53 games
played, Wright started 43 times (39 as DH). He also had 17
multiple-hit games, which was fourth best on the team.
2001: In
the Dirtbags' three-game series at UC Riverside, Wright batted
.500 on 7-of-14 hitting with four runs scored and six RBIs.
His most productive game on the weekend occurred in Saturday's
7-5 loss where Wright went 3 for 5 with three RBIs. On the
season, the outfielder is hitting .299 with 23 RBIs and nine
doubles.

"This
past weekend he made an adjustment at the plate and that really
helped him out. It was more of a mental one than a physical
one. He was calmer and took what the pitcher gave him. He
was very impressive."
