Maxson's fond
farewell
Congratulations to
the writers and staff of the On-line Forty-Niner. You have done
a great job this past year.
I believe this
has been one of the best semesters for the On-line Forty-Niner.
Thank you, editors,
for allowing me this space in the paper every couple of weeks.
Thank you for your
support and friendship in the past year.
I wish every one
well on their final exams.
We will miss those
who are graduating and not returning next year.
We look forward
to seeing you at the Commencement ceremonies and meeting your
families during graduation.
This is such a
grand time for Cal State Long Beach. Hundreds of men and women
in our Facilities Management staff have worked very hard this
past month to spruce up the campus for our new visitors.
We will have more
than 50,000 guests over the three-day Commencement period.
Each of them will
fall in love with our beautiful landscape and the spring blossoms
throughout the campus.
After visiting,
our guests always leave the campus with the warmest impressions
of Beach Pride and with the understanding that it is more
than a slogan.
Beach Pride is
conveyed not only in the hearts and minds of our student body
but also in the hearts and minds of the fine men and women
who work on campus every day throughout the academic year.
This is my last
column for the semester.
For those of you
coming back next semester, I look forward to seeing you during
the summer or next fall.
Go BEACH!
