Prospective CSU budget foresees cuts
The state's slowing economy, among other
factors, has raised concerns about the available funding
for the California State University system, as the CSU
2002/2003 budget proposal heads toward final submission
Oct. 25.

Gov. Gray Davis announced today
that he is no longer requesting that mail-opening operations
stop in state agencies and departments.

Gov. Gray Davis filed legislation with the secretary of
state last week that extends the reach of current sex
offender laws.
