Thirty international students have left
Cal State Long Beach to return home in recent weeks, joining
many from other local schools.

Light and life dance 'Before Your Eyes'
"Before Your Eyes," the masters of fine arts thesis concert,
featured the choreography of five graduate students: Theresa
Chapman, Holly Clark, Heather Kemp, Carrie E. Oleson and
Leah Sandor last weekend at the Martha B. Knoebel Dance
Theatre. The concert was directed by fellow MFA candidate
Sandra Gutierrez.

'Bandits'
on the run tonight
An advanced screening of the new Barry Levinson film,
"Bandits," will start at 7 p.m. tonight at the University
Student Union.

The Long Beach State's women's cross country team
placed 19th out of 25 teams and the men's team placed
13th out of 27 teams at the Stanford Invitational
Saturday.

The losing ways continued for the Long Beach State
women's soccer team when it dropped a 2-1 decision
to Pepperdine in front of a crowd of 345 Sunday afternoon
at George Allen Field.

Several Long Beach State women's tennis players started
their seasons off right at the Wathen-Hancock Bulldog
Classic in Fresno over the weekend, but no 49er was
able to come home with the top prize.
