Five named to
All-Big West team
Staff reports
Five Long Beach
State women's soccer players have earned All-Big West Conference
honors.
Freshman Dianna San-guinetti (one goal, two assists) was named
to the Big West's first team, while fellow freshman Allison
Wiegand (team-high five goals, two assists) was named to the
second team.
Three Beach players garnered honorable mention honors: senior
Caitlin Murphy (two goals, tied for team lead with four assists),
sophomore Abie Curry (three goals, team-high 29 shots on goal)
and freshman Shanna Wender (one goal, started all of LBSU's
17 games).
UC Santa Barbara's Jen Borcich took home both Big West Offensive
and Freshman of the Year honors.
