women's basketball will play an exhibition game against Love
And Basketball tonight at The Pyramid. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
Stanford rolled to a 98-49 victory over Love And Basketball
Sunday in Palo Alto. Guard Akia Hardy led Love And Basketball
with 14 points and fellow guard Melody Peterson added eight
points and three assists.
The game is a tune-up for The Beach's season opener Saturday
at The Pyramid against Syracuse at 7:30 p.m.
Men's basketball ended its exhibition season with a 79-71
victory over Cal State Dominguez Hills Friday. The win evened
The Beach's exhibition record at 1-1.
Travis Reed and Ron Johnson scored 16 points each and Michael
Darrett added 13 points and six assists for the 49ers. Reed
led LBSU with 11 rebounds and James Williams had 10.
The men's team opens the regular season against Western Michigan
Thursday at 6 p.m. at the America's Youth Classic in Eugene,
Oregon.
