in Fullerton

Anastasia Dvornikova
advanced to the semifinals and two Long Beach State doubles
teams also advanced to the semifinals in the Cal State Fullerton
Fall Intercollegiates contested this weekend in Fullerton.
Dvornikova advanced by beating Charlotte Vernaz of Pepperdine,
6-2, 6-3, in the quarterfinals Saturday. LBSU's Laura Thomas
also advanced to the quarterfinals, but dropped a 5-7, 6-3,
6-2 decision to Pepperdine's Veronica Koksova.
The 49ers doubles teams of Alena Dvornikova and Kelly Chan
and Thomas and Lindsey Marvel advanced to Sunday's semifinal
with close victories Saturday.
Results of Sunday's semifinal and final will be published
in Tuesday's On-line Forty-Niner.
