Edgar completes
49er staff
Staff reports
The Long Beach
State women's basketball staff is now set.
Alison Edgar was recently named an assistant coach for The
Beach, completing a long search to replace former 49er assistants
Miranda Serna and Rosa Stokes, who both left for other coaching
positions during the summer.
Edgar joins newly-hired Angela Head and holdover Tuonisia
Turner on Head Coach Dallas Bolla's staff for this season.
Head was hired in September, while Turner enters her sixth
season with LBSU.
Edgar's position with LBSU will be her first collegiate coaching
job.
The native of Indiana played point guard for Butler University
from 1997 until 2000 and was recruited out of high school
by Bolla, who was then an assistant with Purdue University.
Edgar spent her freshman year at Purdue before moving on to
Butler, where she received her bachelor's degree in journalism
with a minor in public relations.
