Brunson gives
a final goodbye
It has been my pleasure to bring you this column this semester.
Next week will be my last issue, so I wanted to use this issue
to say thank you to all the students, staff, and faculty who
read the On-line Forty-Niner every day.
I have to admit I just wanted to stay behind the scenes and
report my stories so I could graduate this fall. I only
started writing thiss column to get out some of my issues and
aggressions, but I have received so much positive feedback.
I thank everyone for that.
I also have to admit that I wasn't happy with all the attention
that I was receiving at first, but now I appreciate every bit
of it. I have to say that I even appreciate the negative
feedback as well. Thank you to all those who challenged
my position, as I am an outspoken individual at times.
I would like to thank everyone at Cal State Long Beach for supporting
the Forty-Niner. Everyone on this staff works so hard each and
every day to give the students a quality newspaper. I know I
can speak for everyone on staff when I say we appreciate your
positive and negative feedback. Keep your opinions and comments
coming; we want to hear from you.
Finals are rapidly approaching, and I want to say good luck
and God bless you all in your studying and in your final assignments.
As I close this issue, I want to wish all the students at CSULB
the best of everything. Always remember that in order
to make it out of here, you must be strong, motivated, and you
must know all the loopholes to get around those tough classes.
Once again, God bless and do what you must do to succeed.
Larry W. Brunson Jr. is a journalism and English major at
Cal State Long Beach.
