opinion: letter

Turkish students regret terrorist attacks

We the members of the Cal State Long Beach Turkish Student Association utterly condemn the apparent terrorist attacks in New York and Washington, D.C. and offer our condolences to the families of those who were killed or injured. We join with all Americans in calling for the swift apprehension and punishment of the perpetrators.

We also condemn the false accusation of innocent Muslim people. Nothing justifies accusing over 1.3 billion individuals belonging to Muslim fate with terrorism or subjecting an estimated 8 million American Muslims to fear of retaliation due to stereotyping and accusations. Again, we express our deepest condolences and heart felt prayers to all the families affected by these tragic events.
