CRIME LOG
The University Police
has a list of reports that informs the community of suspicious
activity around the Cal State Long Beach area. The list can
be viewed on the Internet at activitylog.upd.csulb.edu.
Suspicious man
seen carrying gun
A witness reported
that a 35- to 45-year-old man was carrying a firearm near
the north end of Lot 11 around 1:30 a.m. this past Sunday.
The suspect, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, was identified
as either a Caucasian or Hispanic male and was spotted wearing
a black jacket and black pants.
Man urinates
in public
University Police
cited and later released an 18-year-old male Friday for urinating
on a tree in Lot 13.
Auto burglary
An automobile break-in
occurred sometime between 9:30 p.m. and 11:40 p.m. last Thursday
in Lot 14A. The victim reported a missing stereo and cash,
which valued a total of $3,450.
Public intoxication
The subject, 45-year-old
Timothy Fickentsher, was arrested and booked in the Long Beach
jail Saturday for public intoxication, trespassing, presenting
false identification to a police officer and placing fliers
on automobiles.
Marijuana possession
18-year-old Tyler
Shaffer was cited and released for possession of a misdemeanor
amount of marijuana, less than an ounce, and for resisting
an officer. The University Police discovered the illicit substance
after conducting a consensual search through the suspect's
car.
Incidents at
the Blues Festival this past weekend
- Reported complaints
of the possession or usage of marijuana during the Blues
Festival Saturday were made at Lot 11, the athletic field
and the track and field.
- University
Police responded to three reports of public intoxication
at the Blues Festival site Saturday.
- At the Blues
Festival, the University Police confiscated and destroyed
all obtained illicit substances and suspects were sent away
from the event, according to Greg Pascal, University Police
communication supervisor.
Forged papers
A report made at
the administration building indicated that a suspect was allegedly
presenting falsified transcripts.
