By William Marshall
On-line Forty-Niner
The Women's Resource
Center presents its monthly Spoken Words of Wisdom series,
"Sirens Between the Lines" from 7 to 9 p.m. at the
University Student Union's Informal Lounge.
The program kicks off with an open mic for all women from
7 to 7:30 p.m., giving students a chance to share their artistic
works with the group.
"Since the time is limited, you must show up early in
order to sign up and secure a spot for the open mic,"
said Lynne Coenen, assistant director of the Women's Resource
Center.
Four Cal State Long Beach students will present their work
during the program. Tasha Fouts, Kelly Yarborough and Dana
Celio will showcase their selected readings, and Angie Evans
will sing from some of her original works.
The series is open to all students and staff. For more information
contact the Women's Resource Center at (562) 985-8576.
