Shipwreck stays
afloat
Photos and story
by Christine Shin
Welcome aboard
the RMS Queen Mary. This historic cruise liner offers hotel
staterooms, award-winning restaurants, a wedding chapel and
Art Deco salons. And at no extra cost, encounters with ghosts
from the ship's haunted past are available for your enjoyment.
What an additional
$25 will buy you, however, is your entrance to the Queen Mary's
Shipwreck 2001. While you may possibly run into paranormal
activity on the boat, you will definitely run into the 400
mutants and monsters that have graduated from the official
Queen Mary "Scare School."
The ticket includes
unlimited entry to the seven macabre mazes. "House of
Hallucinations" offers tripped-out 3-D effects and the
"Haunted Hull of Horrors" takes you into the depths
of the eerie engine room. A dance party, hosted by Power 106,
is also included with the ticket price.
Shipwreck 2001
continues tonight and tomorrow at the Queen Mary right here
in L.B.

dummy hangs from a tree branch in the cruise liner's foreground.

Dangling
skeletons hover above the dance party's crowd at the Exhibit
Hall.
